QTrait was a local start-up providing recreational genetic testing for consumers curious about their DNA. "Scary" genes like genetic markers for diseases were not revealed, only fun and perhaps useful genetics would be shown, like allergies, height, and even type of ear wax.

My responsibilities were vast for this startup, from requirements gathering, card sorting exercises, creating personas, wire framing, high fidelity mockups, and sketching a "Genetics Bootcamp" (sample below), to writing much of the text, including the return policy!

Genetics Bootcamp

My solution to make something as complicated as learning about genetics not feel overwhelming, but instead friendly and fun.
